I'm Charlie — a 16-year-old who loves learning by doing. I'm home-schooled for my A-levels in the UK, which gives me loads of time to explore the things I'm passionate about.
From horse riding and volunteering, to knitting my own business, to building a kit car from scratch — I like to keep busy. I believe the best way to learn anything is to just start and figure it out as you go.
This portfolio is my living proof — I built it from scratch while still learning HTML and CSS. It's not perfect, and that's exactly the point.
I have AuDHD — autism and ADHD together. For me that means I dive very deep into the things I love, sometimes at the expense of everything else. When I find something interesting, I really go for it.
It also means I learn differently. Being home-schooled has been a huge help — I can go at my own pace, spend more time on the things that click, and not feel rushed through topics I haven't fully understood yet.
I think it's one of the reasons I enjoy coding — it rewards persistence and attention to detail, and there's always more to learn.
Right now I'm teaching myself HTML and CSS by building this website. I also have weekly C# lessons and I'm planning to pick up Java next.
I don't just read tutorials — I build things. This portfolio is the main project, but I'm also doing small experiments and learning from mistakes as I go.
